    CISF Recruitment 2010 Central Industrial Security Force : Constable

    DIRECTRATE GENERAL CENTRAL INDUSTRIAL SECURITY FORCE
    (MINISTRY FOR HOME AFFAIRS)

    RECRUITMENT OF CONSTABLE/GO (MALE/FEMALE) 2010
    Applications are invited from Male Indian citizens for filling up following temporary posts of Constable (GD])

    Constable (General Duty)
    9494 posts in various states of India
    16000 posts in various Naxal affected states of India
    (Andhra Pradesh, Bihar, Orissa, Jharkhand, Chattisgarh, Madhya Pradesh )

    Age :     Not less than 18 years and not more than 23 years as on 1st August 2010
    Qualifications: Matriculation or 10m class pass.
    Pay : Pay Band I RS.5200-20200! + Grade pay. Rs 2000
    Last date 4th November 2009.11th November 2009. for the candidates belonging to
    Northern Eastern States and Andaman & Nicobar Islands

    How to apply:
    Applications on the proforma as per Appendix "A" should be sent to the authorities prescribed below against the respective Stale/UTs: along with requisite application fees of Rs. 501- (Rupees fifty only) in the form of Postal Order drawn in favor of the officer mentioned under column 3 below and payable at the post office as mentioned under column A, SC/ST candidates are exempted from application fee.

    The candidates belonging to SC/S however must enclose Photostat copy of SC/ST certificate as per ,Appendix of the notification duly attested by a Gazetted Officer

    The envelope containing above documents shoutd be super scribed "APPLICATION FOR THE POST OF CONSTABLE/GD" and the name of STATE/DISTRICT of applicant.

    IMPORTANT ADVICE:-
    The recruitment process has a 5 Km run to be completed in 24 minutes. This requires endurance and stamina. Candidates are advised to practice for the run before coming for recruitment.
    They are further advised to get themselves medically examined regarding their suitability to run the specified distance in the given time.

    Physical Efficiency Test (PET)
    The minimum requirement for male is :
    Long Jump : 11feet
    High Jump : 3 feet 6 inches

    Written Examination
    The question paper will be on general awareness/general knowledge,knowledge of elementary mathematics, analytical aptitude and ability to observe and distinguish patterns and to test the basic knowledge of the candidate in English/Hindi.
    The questions will be set both in Hindi and English.
    The written test will be for 100 mark.s with 100 questions to be answered in 120 minutes.
