RECRUITMENT AGAINST CULTURAL QUOTA FOR 2009-10

Applications are invited for recruitment of 2(two) candidates against Cultural Quota in Group’C’ posts in pay band of 5200-20200/- + GP 1900/- in the prescribed format given in the notice.

CULTURAL TALENT : Drama

MINIMUM EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATION :
(a)Matriculation Pass or equivalent with not less than 50% marks in aggregate from recognized Board/University. (A pass in matriculation or equivalent in cases of SC/ST candidates). The minimum of 50% in aggregate may not be insisted upon for those candidates who possess qualification higher than Matriculation.
(b)Possession of Degree/Diploma Certificate in Drama from a Govt. recognized institute.

PLACE OF POSTING :
(a)Selected candidates can be posted at any place within the jurisdiction of N.F. Railway.
(b)Selected candidate will be required to undergo training for a prescribed period and will be required to execute a bond and agree to serve the Railway Administration for a prescribed period.

TRAINING :
Selected candidates have to undergo training as prescribed for the post.

PAYMENT OF EXAMINATION FEE :
All applications should be accompanied by Indian Postal Order (IPO)/Bank Draft of Rs. 40/- (Rupees Forty) only towards examination.

SC/ST candidates are exempted from paying examination fees.

The IPO/Bank Draft should be drawn in favour of FA & CAO/N.F. Railway/ Maligaon Guwahati, Assam, PIN – 781011”. IPO must be payable at “Maligaon Headquarters Post Office, Guwahati = 781011” and Bank Draft at Guwahati. Candidates must write their name, full address at the space provided in the postal order and bank draft. The examination fee is not refundable under any circumstances. The application will be rejected if Bank Draft, postal order is drawn in favour of other than FA & CAO/MLG or kept blank.

HOW TO FILL UP THE APPLICATION :
i)Format of application is given at Annexure “A”. Application should be filled by the candidate only in his or her own handwriting, in blue /Black Ball point Pen. Use good quality A-4 size papers.

ii)In case any entry is not applicable for a candidate ‘NOT APPLICABLE’,(NA) should be written against that column.

iii)Full postal address of the candidate with PIN code No. for communication must be given. Also write name with the name of the nearest Railway Station and Permanent address.

iv)Candidate must sign in full (Not initial) in different places on the application form as indicated therein. The signature in the capital letter will be rejected. The style and scripts of language (English or Hindi) of signature on the application Form, Admit Card, Answer sheet and Photographs must be the same. This should be noted very carefully. Any variation may disqualify the candidate.

v)All the copies of certificates in regard to age, educational qualification and other essential qualification duly attested by a Gazette Officer are to be enclosed alongwith the application form.

vi)Two recent (within two months) passport size photographs with names written on the top of the photograph should be clipped alongwith the application form duly attested by a Gazetted Officer. Besides, one copy of passport size Photograph duly signed to be affixed on the application as specified for duly attested by Gazetted Officer.

SUBMISSION OF APPLICATION :
i)Application should be addressed and sent by ordinary post to the Senior Personnel Officer(Recruitment), N.F. Railway, Maligaon, Guwahati, Assam PIN – 781011 or should be dropped at the box provided at Recruitment Section, Chief Personnel Office, Maligaon, Guwahati, Assam, PIN – 781 0-11 within closing date (5.30P.M. of / /2009). Application should be sent in envelop super scribing on the top” Application for recruitment to Group’C’ Post against Cultural Quota”.

SCHEME FOR RECRUITMENT :
The Recruitment process shall consist of the following :
i)Objective type written examination.
ii)Proficiency test will be conducted for assessment of talent in the relevant field on the basis of practical demonstration & records in the field or specified cultural activity.
iii)The medium for the written examination is either Hindi or English.

THE WRITITEN EXAMINATION AND PROFICIENTY TEST SHALL BE HELD ONLY AT MALIGAON.

Candidates belonging to SC/ST community will be issued free second class Railway Pass (as and when admissible) when they are called for Written examination or interview provided they submit valid certificate. All other candidates are required to appear at their own cost.
