Brief Description of Position
The Healthpoint Services Initiative is seeking to recruit a Chief Medical Officer (CMO) to lead and manage its novel approach to primary healthcare delivery in rural and peri-urban markets of developing countries. This individual should be willing to assume the challenge of pioneering a radically different healthcare model that can bring rural healthcare delivery into the modern era. He/she will recruit and manage medical staff and lay healthworkers, guide application of web-based e-health tools that automate, standardize, and document patient interactions/interventions in both a broadband-connected rural retail "healthpoint" and in a supporting urban medical call-center, and take overall responsibility for the quality of patient care. The CMO will help to establish healthpoint workflow and procedures and training protocols for both professional and lay staff, as well as lead evaluation of new diagnostic tools for use in healthpoints.

Skills Required

* A Medical Professional with a Post Graduate qualification.
* Relevant medical training and clinical experience; experience in rural primary care and/or community medicine highly desirable.
* Demonstrated management skills for medical staff; business training and/or experience in the business aspects of healthcare delivery highly desirable.
* Strong interest in and commitment to the goal of transformation of rural/peri-urban healthcare.
* Familiarity with one or more of IT tools, telemedicine, clinical decision support systems, or modern diagnostic systems highly desirable.

The CMO will immediately assume operational charge of the design and development of the medical services component in a pilot testing process in Punjab State to develop/demonstrate Healthpoint Services' service model. He/she will work with experienced medical advisors during this process.Competitive compensation and equity participation.
