The Organisation and the Unit
Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited, BHEL is a leading "Navaratna" PSU of Government of India. As a premier Engineering Organisation BHEL caters to core sectors of Indian economy viz Power Generation, Industry, Transportation, Telecommunication and Renewable Energy. BHEL requires for its unit at Ranipet, Tamilnadu, experienced engineers in disciplines of Mechanical, Civil, Electrical & Electronics (EEE) and Chemical to work in areas of Desalination and Flue Gas Desulphurization. Engineers with experience in Design, Detailed Design, Proposals and Contracts, Operation and Maintenance in Desalination Plants, Flue Gas Desulphurization Systems and / or associated sub-systems in fields of Fertilizer, Cement, Refinery, Petro Chemical and Chemical Plants will be considered. Minimum Qualifications
Full time BE / B.Tech Degree in Mechanical / Civil / Electrical & Electronics (EEE) / Chemical discipline from an institution recognized by AICTE with at least 60% marks in aggregate for general / OBC candidates and 55% for SC/ST candidates. Post graduate in the relevant field will be an added advantage.

Processing fee
A non refundable processing fee in the form of Account payee demand draft of Rs. 250/- (RupeesTwo Hundred and Fifty only) for General and OBC candidates in favour of "Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited" payable at State Bank of India, BHEL Project Branch (Branch Code 7013) draw on or after 1st July 2009, should be enclosed with the acknowledgement slip. No other form of payment is accepatable. No processing fee is applicable in case of SC/ ST & Physically Challanged candidate (However attested copy of Community certificate/ PH certificate is to be sent).

All eligible candidates as per job specification will be called for a personal interview for selection

How to apply
Last date for submission of applications on-line is 17th October, 2009 (upto 4.30 p.m.).

(1) Interested candidates are advised to visit our web-site for submission of on-line application only after obtaining a Demand Draft for Rs.250/-, once applicable, since the details of Demand Draft are to be furnished in the online application form.


(2) After submitting the application ON-LINE, a unique Acknowledgement No. will be allotted to the candidate. This number will be displayed on Acknowledgement Slip with certain other details. Candidates are required,

- to take two print-outs of this Acknowledgement Slip.
- retain one copy of Acknowledgement Slip with them.
- send the other copy of Acknowledgment slip along with enclosures in a cover superscribing

(3) The Acknowlegement slip along with necessary attachments is to be sent by ordinary post only and it should not be sent by courier/ RPAD/ or any other mode.

The above should be sent so as to reach us by 24th October, 2009 from all candidates.

(k) Demand Draft for Rs. 250/- (in case of SC/ ST/ PH candidates, no fees required. However attested copy of Community certificate/ PH certificate is to be enclosed). Candidates are advised to write their Acknowledgement No., Name, and the post applied for clearly on reverse side of Demand Draft.

Important: Please do not send any original certificates along with the Acknowledgement Slip. Original certificates are to be produced at the interview only, if called.

General Instructions
(i) Deserving candidates may be offered additional increments (in the same pay scale) at the discretion of the Management.
(ii) Candidates called for interview will be reimbursed for self, subject to a maximum of AC 2 tier to and fro rail fare from the starting station or the mailing address to Mukundarayapuram Railway Station whichever is nearer to the place of interview and back by the shortest route on production of proof of journey.
(iii) The jobs involved extensive travelling and work at sites, having base at Ranipet.
(iv) Persons employed in Govt. /Semi-Govt. Departments /Public Sector Undertakings /Autonomous bodies should apply online and send the acknowledgement slip directly to BHEL. In case of being shortlisted for the personal interview they should produce 'No Objection Certificate' at the time of interview. Otherwise they shall not be interviewed and no TA will be admissible.
(v) The selected candidate may be transferred/posted at any of the Company's Offices/ Divisions anywhere in India and abroad.
(vi) Applicants should have sound health. The appointment of the selected candidate will be subject to meeting the health standards prescribed by the Company.
(vii) Category such as OBC (Non Creamy layer), SC, ST, Physically Challenged, J&K Domicile candidates and Exservicemen should be carefully filled up in the online application form as this will not be allowed to be changed at a later date.
(viii)OBC candidates who do not come under the Non Creamy Layer should indicate their category as General. The category once declared, if found to be false at any later stage will render the candidate liable for suitable actions including termination and prosecution.
(ix) Candidates should ensure that they fulfil the essential eligibility criteria prescribed for the post for which they have applied. In case it is detected at any stage of recruitment process that the candidate does not fulfill the eligibility criteria and/ or does not comply with other requirements of this advertisement and/ or he/ she has furnished any incorrect/ false information or has suppressed any material fact(s), his/ her candidature is liable to be rejected. If any of the above shortcomings is/ are detected, even after appointment, his/ her services are liable to be terminated without any notice.
(x) Any legal proceedings in respect of any matter of claim or dispute arising out of this advertisement and / or an application in response thereto can be instituted only in courts having Ranipet, Tamilnadu jurisdiction.
(xi) The company reserves the right to reject any application without assigning any reason whatsoever.
