    State Bank Of India recruitment 2009 : Control Room Operator

    Recruitment of Control Room Operators, Armourers and Pharmacists In SBI

    State Bank of India invites applications from Indian citizens for appointment in the Clerical Cadre
    posts of Control Room Operators (CROs), Armourers and Pharmacists in State Bank Group.

    1) Control Room Operators (CROs)
    Job Profile
    To man the control room in shifts, to take suitable action in case of any
    emergency on receipt of information, to test & operate the
    communication systems and other fire, security etc. related equipments
    provided in the control room, to maintain logbook of activities during the
    course of his duties and any other job assigned by his controller(s).

    Age*

    Minimum 18 years and Maximum 28 years
    (For ex-servicemen below 45 years age relaxtation)

    Educational Qualification
    Minimum Qualification - Pass in Class 10+2 examination or
    equivalent with 60% marks or Armed Forces Special Certificate
    equivalent to Class 10+2.

    Technical Qualification
    Ex-Servicemen - Should have passed 3 months Regimental Signal
    course (not Diploma) or should belong to the Corps of Signal having
    carried out the duties of telephone exchange operators/wireless
    operators.

    Experience,Rank & Character
    Fire Department Personnel - should have dealt with communications
    and capable of dealing with the fire prevention measures and
    exigencies.

    Ex-servicemen and State Fire Department personnel with minimum 10
    years service in the armed forces or State Fire Services. Ex-
    Servicemen should be of the rank of JCO or equivalent and of
    Exemplary character.

    Medical Category
    Aye-1 or Shape-One (for Ex-Servicemen). However, they will also be
    subjected to medical examination by Bank's Doctor for their medical
    fitness. State Fire Department personnel should be declared medically
    fit by Bank's Doctor.


    2) Armourers
    Job Profile
    Inspection of arms and ammunitions of the branches /
    offices, carry out minor repairs maintenance of weapons,
    able to impart training on arms and ammunitions to Bank
    Guards and other duties pertaining to security activities /
    posts.

    Age*
    Minimum 18 years and Maximum 28 years

    Education Qualification
    Minimum - Pass in Class 10+2 examination or equivalent
    or Armed Forces certificate equivalent to 10+2
    Should have been Armourer Grade I while in the service
    and be fully qualified in Armament Artificer course
    conducted by EME in 1st class.

    Experience, Rank and Character
    Should have completed minimum 10 years of complete
    colour service in Electrical & Mechanical Engineers
    (EME) Corps as an Armourer with exemplary character.
    Rank should be minimum Hawaldar.

    Medical Category
    Aye-1 or Shape - One However, they will also be
    subjected to medical examination by Bank's Doctor for
    their medical fitness.

    3) Pharmacists
    Job Profile
    All duties attached to Medical Clinic of the Bank as Pharmacist /
    Compounder, including assisting in clerical work, whenever
    necessary. Should be able to give first aid treatment
    independently in accident cases.

    Age*
    Minimum - 18 years and Maximum -28 years

    Educational Qualification
    Pass in SSC or its equivalent examination and minimum Diploma
    in Pharmacy (D.Pharma) from recognized University or Board.
    Candidates with degree in Pharmacy will be preferred.

    Experience
    The candidate must be a Registered Pharmacist under
    Pharmacist Act. with State Pharmacy Council or similar
    recognized body constituted for the purpose. Minimum 1 year
    experience as Pharmacist or Compounder. Ability to give first
    aid treatment independently in accident cases is essential.


    Selection Procedure :
    The selection of the candidates will be mainly on the basis of short-listing and interviews.
    However, the Bank may, at its discretion, hold written tests for short-listing and selection. The date of written test (in
    case of need) will be advised to the candidates by call letters issued to them. The written tests, where applicable,
    may be held at Mumbai, New Delhi, Kolkata and Chennai centres. The Bank, however, reserves the right to add,
    delete or allot any centre at its discretion. The details of the written test will be advised to the candidates by
    'Acquaint Yourself booklet' to be sent alongwith the call letter.


    HOW TO APPLY:
    Eligible candidates should visit any CBS Branch of State Bank of India and pay the requisite
    fees/Postage into the A/c No.30838646685 and get receipt with Deposit Journal Number from the Branch on
    the prescribed format given at the end of this advertisement. They should apply on the application as given in
    the first page of this advertisement. A recent passport size photograph bearing full signature of the candidate
    across the same with date, should be pasted at right hand top corner at the space provided in the application. It
    should also be accompanied by the Cash receipt voucher and attested copies of certificates/testimonials/
    medical certificate. Candidates are advised not to apply for more than one post. In order to ensure that the
    applications and remittances reach well before the closing date, candidates serving in Govt./Quasi Govt.
    offices, Public Sector undertakings including Nationalized Banks and Financial Institutions are advised to
    submit their original application form along with the remittance in advance and submit No Objection Certificate
    from the employer at the time of interview, if call for the same, failing which their candidature may not be
    considered and traveling expenses, if any, otherwise admissible, will not be paid.
