Title : Unsupervised Non-Parametric Region Segmentation Using Level-Sets.

Description: The project deals with segmentation of images; it is a major task of image processing. A novel non-parametric unsupervised segmentation algorithm based on Region Competition is proposed using level sets frame work. The proposed model for active contours to detect objects in a given image is based on techniques of level sets theory and Chan – Vese to reach the object boundary. In the level set formulation, the problem becomes a "mean-curvature flow" like evolving the active contour, which will stop on the desired boundary.
