Selection Procedure:
Written test and interview

A) Rs.50/- towards postal charges for SC/ST/PWD candidates.
B) Rs.300/- Application fee (including postal charges) for all others including OBC & XSM Candidates.
The fees should be paid by Demand Draft/Pay Order favouring "VIJAYA BANK RECRUITMENT PROJECT-2009 (PROBATIONARY CLERKS)" Payable at MUMBAI only . Please note that Cash, Cheques, Money Orders, Postal Stamps etc. will NOT be accepted . Candidate’s name and date of birth should be written on the reverse of the Demand Draft/Pay Order.
The Demand draft/Pay order should not be dated before 10.09.2009 and not after 01.10.2009 (including for those applying from far flung areas).
Vijaya Bank Recruitment Results:
Examination for the post of 500 clerks was held on 07/02/2010. Candidate who have given the exam has been waiting the results. Vijaya Bank released the results for recruitment of 500 clerks, yesterday i.e. 22 April 2010.

How to apply :
(i) Candidates must submit the attested photocopies of all the certificates in support of educational qualification, experience, date of birth and caste/disability (if any).
(ii) Candidates belonging to SC/ST/OBC and PWD category should send an attested copy of their Caste Certificate/Certificate of Disability issued by the Competent Authority.
However, these candidates will have to produce original caste certificate/relevant certificates at the time of interview, failing which his/her candidature will be cancelled.
(iii) Candidates belonging to OBCs but coming in the "CREAMY LAYER" are not entitled to OBC reservation. They should indicate their category as ‘Gen’ or ‘Gen Persons With Disabilities’ as applicable. OBC Certificates in the format as prescribed by the Govt. of India and issued by the Competent Authority inter alia, specifically stating that the candidate does not belong to the Socially Advanced Sections excluded from the benefits of reservations for OBCs in Civil Posts and Services under Govt. of India i.e. carrying ‘CREAMY LAYER’ Clause, based on income for the financial year 2008-2009 should be submitted.
(iv) "Persons with Disabilities" claiming the benefit of reservations/age relaxation should submit a copy of Medical Certificate as specified in ‘The Persons With Disabilities (Equal Opportunities, Protection of Rights & Full Participation) Act of 1995’ in support of their disability.
Candidates are required to apply on-line through the Banks' website www.vijayabank.com . No other means /mode of applications will be accepted.

The guidelines for filling Applications are as under:
* Candidate should have a valid e-mail ID.
* Candidates should have their Demand Draft payable at Mumbai favoring “VIJAYA BANK RECRUITMENT PROJECT–2009 (PROBATIONARY CLERKS)” - ready before applying on line. Without DD details, data will not be registered. The DD should not be dated before 10.09.2009 and not after 01.10.2009. Even if Bank extends the date of on-line registration by one or two days, the valid dates of Demand Drafts will not be changed. Valid dates of Demand Drafts also remain the same for far flung areas.
* After applying on-line, the registered candidates should obtain a ' print out of the Computer Generated On-Line Application' , sign at the appropriate place and send along with Application fee (i.e., Demand Draft /Pay Order). Candidates should retain a photocopy of their Demand Draft and the aforesaid print out for future reference.
* A recent photograph should be pasted on the Print-out.
* Candidate’s name, post and date of birth should be written on the reverse of Demand Draft /Pay Order.
Print out of the Computer Generated On-Line Application' complete in all respects should be sent by ordinary post only in a closed envelope super scribed "PRINT-OUT FOR THE POST OF PROBATIONARY CLERKS -2009 in Vijaya Bank", tothe following address:

Note:
a) Each application must be accompanied by (i) Bank Draft/Pay Order (ii) Copies of under mentioned certificates (only attested true copies of certificates) should be sent by candidates along with the application through ORDINARY POST :
i. Secondary School Certificate/School Leaving Certificate or any other documentary proof of age.
ii. Marks Sheets (year-wise) showing specifically the subject studied and certificate/s in support of educational qualifications viz., SSLC, HSC, Graduate Degree, Post-graduate Degree, etc.
iii. Experience certificate/s, if any, specifying designation, job profile, period of service (with specific dates, emoluments, job profile at previous and present employers, etc.)
iv. SC/ST/OBC/Persons with disability (PWD) certificate/s as detailed in Sl.No.10 e above, wherever applicable.
b) Selected candidates, if employed, will be required to produce a valid discharge certificate from the present employer before joining the service of the Bank.

Such candidates, if selected, shall resign from their present positions in the Bank and rejoin the Bank’s service afresh.

Recruitment Notification No. 01/2009 with regard to recruitment of Probationary clerks is partially modified in respect of:
a. Last date for online registration is extended - upto 31.10.2009,
b. The due dates of DD extended upto 31.10.2009 – Date of the DD should be between 10.09.2009 & 31.10.2009,
c. Certain changes in Educational Qualification criteria are made and
d. The tentative date of written examination is rescheduled to 07.02.2010.

I have filled the application on-line. Vijay Bank is asking to send the photo copies of certificates. My Question is--- Whether we need to send the attested photocopies (attested with gazetted) or just a normal photocopies.

Candidates must possess the requisite qualifications as on
01.07.2009 and must attach proof, i.e., attested photocopies of the Provisional Pass/Degree Certificate, Mark sheet/s etc.
That is quote from the official advertisement.
