It ranges from concept work, the creation of original idea, consultancy, feasibility studies, basic design and detailed engineering to the provision of project management, procurement, verification and quality control services.
Rotating & Static Equipment Department has job opportunities to offer for a ‘Senior Engineer Rotating & Static’, based in the Netherlands.
Summary of responsibilities and duties:
The Rotating & Static Equipment Department is responsible for the engineering of all rotating, static and packaged equipment installed on floating or fixed, oil and gas producing offshore installations.
The ideal candidate will be either leading a project team of several Mechanical Engineers or act as a Package Engineer handling the major mechanical packages on a project.
As a Package Engineer, you will be involved in the selection of suitable process and marine equipment and will be responsible for all technical related matters of purchased equipment.
Activities will comprise: preparation of specifications, performing technical evaluations, liaise with purchasing department, intermediate between equipment supplier and internal engineering disciplines, coordinate the integration of purchased equipment into the overall offshore installation, review of vendor drawings and calculations and final inspections of equipment.
Qualifications & Experiences:
- MSc or BSc degree with at least 10 years experience as a Mechanical Engineer in preferably the (offshore) oil and gas production industry.
- You have a thorough knowledge of rotating and/or static equipment and mechanical systems and should be familiar with the application design code and standards.
- You combine a solid theoretical know-how with a pragmatic approach and should be able to execute the work with limited supervision.

- Conversant with MS Office applications.

INSPECTION :

- Assessing condition of the static equipment using conventional and advanced NDT techniques.
- Sound knowledge on different materials used in process industry in high/low temperature, corrosive environments and experience with welding practices and inspection practices of these materials.
- Having good exposure to complete inspection of High temperature steam reformers constructed with Ni based alloys and fired heaters. Inspection of high pressure multilayered Reactors and internally lined/cladded vessels. Involved in failure analysis of reformer tube failures, heat exchangers and pressure vessels in process plant.
- Conducting welder qualification tests, reviewing WPS & PQR and stage wise welding inspections and quality control.
- Vibration analysis and trouble shooting of rotating machinery.
- Able to Plan and implement inspection activities, supervise manpower during planned and unplanned shutdowns and Major turn arounds. Familiar with ASME,API & Vibration codes and standards

About Nagarjuna Fertilizers facilities :
Nagarjuna Fertilizers and Chemicals Limited, Kakinada situated in east coast of India is one of the leading manufacturers of ammonia and urea. It is a new modern ISO 9001 :2000, ISO 14001 and ISO18001 certified British Five star rated plant, using HALDOR TOPSOE Technology for Ammonia manufacturing and SNAMPROGETTI Technology for Urea manufacturing. It has two Ammonia Plants of 900 MTPD capacity each and two urea plants of 1500 MTPD capacity each with the necessary Offsite facilities for its treating water, Effluents, Generation of steam(100MTPH Boilers 2nos, one 100MTPH and two 25MTPH HRSGs) and Captive power plant besides Nitrogen and Ammonia storage facility. STATIC EQUIPMENT INSPECTION :
- Carrying out Internal visual inspections, on-stream and external inspections of static equipment which includes separators, drums, columns, reactors, reformers, fired heaters, High pressure steam boilers, HRSGs shell and tube heat exchangers, air cooled exchangers etc.
- Complete inspection of Fired heaters and reformers involving Automatic Ultrasonic testing, Creep measurement, magnetic permeability measurement, Magnetism measurements using permanent magnets, Thickness measurement, Ferrite measurement and DPT.
- Leak testing of heat exchangers by pneumatic test, hydrotest, ultrasonic leak detection and vacuum leak detection.
- Carrying out heat exchanger tube inspection by Eddy Current Testing for Magnetic and non magnetic materials.
- Temperature monitoring of fired heaters, reformer tubes, insulated and refractory lined vessels by means of Thermal Imaging and Infra-red pyrometers and identifying areas of concerns and proposing remedial measures.
- Carrying out fiberscopic inspection and recording the observations wherever limited access for internal inspection.
- Inspection non metallic vessels i.e. GRP and FRP vessels. Condition assessment of rubber lined vessels, tanks and piping using Spark testing and Shore hardness measurement.
- Performing, reviewing and evaluating NDT reports which includes DPT, Fluorescent LPT&MT, UT, RT, Material analysis, Hardness measurement, Ferrite check and Welding inspection.
- Preparing check lists for static equipment inspection and assigning TMLs for piping and equipments for corrosion monitoring.
- Reviewing Welding procedure specifications and Procedure Qualification Records and conducting/reviewing welder qualification tests.
