Job Description:
Purpose of this Position:
To receive, digitize measure, analyze and interpret ECGs received from trial sites according to study specific trial protocol, ECG criteria and QECG Work Instructions.

Responsibilities:
1. To receive telephone calls from Investigator sites participating in Clinical Trials with Quintiles ECG.
2. To receive Trans telephonic ECGs
3. To make accurate recording of subject demographic data received from the investigator site.
4. To assess that the ECG waveform (paper/digital/trans telephonic) received is of good quality and provide the feedback to the site about this in order to get better quality ECGs.
5. To analyze and interpret the ECGs (paper/digital/trans telephonic) received as per ECG interpretation guidelines and project-specific requirement.
6. To make entry of demographic and interpretation data in the database.
7. To QC the ECG reports on assigned days (paper/digital/trans telephonic) before they are faxed to trial sites.
8. To be aware of and work to specific trial protocols.
9. To understand and comply with core operating procedures and work instructions of Quintiles ECG.
10. To forward all project related correspondence received from the sites to the respective PM.
11. To understand the process of scanning ECGs
12. To do the digitization of ECGs as per the study specific needs.
13. To be operationally responsible for their respective protocols as Operations Leader as an additional responsibility.

Screening and Isolation of Protease and Amylase producing Microorganisms from soil. Batch and solid-state fermentation was performed to produce the enzyme separately. Extraction and isolation of enzymes from the fermentation medium by salting out (by using Ammonium sulphate) and dialyzing the crude enzymes followed by ion-exchange chromatography (by using DEAE cellulose as ion exchanger) the enzymes were eluted by using different salt concentrations of sodium chloride and Tris HCL. From the various elutes protein estimation, enzymes activity and SDS-PAGE was performed.

2. Project Work Done:
Comparative study of Citric acid production in various species of Aspergillus

Various Aspergillus species were isolated from the soil by seril dilution method. Four species of Aspergillus i.e., A.niger, A.nidulans, A.flavus and A.fumigatus were inoculated into Saboraud dextrose broth. The cultures were maintained at room temperature on an orbital shaker for 7 days. After 7 days, the broth was filtered and centrifuged to separate the cells. The supernatant was stored at 4oC the amount of total acid was estimated by acid-base titration. The citric acid content was determined colourimetrically. Partial purification of citric acid was done. To achieve this, calcium hydroxide was added to the culture filtrate till the pH was 5.8. The product formed was calcium citrate. Further purification was done by adding conc. Sulphuric acid at 60oC, to form insoluble calcium sulphate and the citric acid was released. The aqueous citric acid was evaporated to the point of crystallization (36oC). Crystals of Citric monohydrate were obtained by drying at 50-60oC.
