A Web Content Writer is someone who is assigned the task of writing content exclusively for websites, blogs, forums such. This web content basically refers to factual information for e.g. features or benefits of a product, service or an idea.

Job Description:

The responsibilities of a Web Content Writer can include the following:

Writing web content for websites, forums and blogs from scratch or taking content and re-writing it so it is unigue.

Editing and Proof reading content once written and the content of others on our team.

Writing, editing and proof reading copy for client projects based on the material supplied by them.

Writing product descriptions, brand support material etc.

Proof reading, editing and writing content on a regular basis for the purpose of marketing a product or website.

Check web pages for spelling and gramatical errors before making them live.

I am seriously thinking about traveling to India to start up my Search Engine Optimization (SEO), business. What I am looking for is good content writers who I can train for SEO. Many of the best SEO people will tell you that content is King on the Internet. That remains to be true today even with Google changing it's algorithm. My idea is to start with 5 excellent content writers and train them in all aspects of SEO. I have tried with people who are the best English speakers and writers. This does not work well as I spend most of my day proof reading everything and in most cases I end doing all the writing.

So I am now thinking that if I start with good writers I can teach them my SEO. Basically they will be doing article writing, forum posts, blogging and content for websites and product. But they will also be learning all of the newest techniques regarding SEO. Would you kindly tell me where I can go to get these people. I want to hire as trainees/apprentices first. All will be full time positions. Eventually, I would like to have around 50 people in my business. I will be starting on a small budget to begin with. Once hired on a full time basis they will receive benefits like medial and so on.

Besides doing SEO we will be building websites and servicing them once they are built. I will want to start with one very seasoned Web Designer/Developer with experience in Joomla, one graphic artist and one very experienced SEO expert. So I will be hiring at least 8 people to start.

I happened to bump into a web-page, having your post, while researching on content development opportunities.

To give you a brief introduction of myself, I have over 13 years professional experience related to Technology business development within and outside the country. Due to family issues, I had to quit my latest professional assignment at Ahmedabad and 'am scheduled to return to Kolkata by the end of December, 2009.
