Job Description:

To plan, prepare materials, deliver, & monitor training of Technicians in Instrumentation Maintenance.
- Plan & arrange Instrumentation Maintenance training programmes as required to meet Company competence requirements,
- Direct & monitor instrumentation instructors,
- Develop effective training materials using multimedia for use in formal group presentation or by individuals for self-access, as required.
- Deliver Instrumentation Maintenance training to technicians and graduates as required to meet competence requirements.
- Assess effectiveness of training delivered against competence requirements.
- Liaise with on-job training staff to ensure full compatibility of on-job & off-job training,
- Visit field locations to support the on-job training of trainees on an as necessary basis & be prepared to visit field locations to gather information for other programmes or courses as directed.
- Record & report trainees' progress against the training plan.
- Undertake such further duties as required to facilitate or enhance Company training activities.

Desired Candidate Profile:

- Full knowledge & practical ability in Instrumentation Maintenance over the whole range of oil/gas industry equipment,
- Degree or Higher Diploma in Industrial Measurement & Control.
- Minimum of 10 years post-training industrial experience of Instrumentation Maintenance in the Oil/Gas industry.
- Ability to plan and deliver outcomes-based training events; write effective training materials using multimedia for group delivery or individual self access; deliver appropriate & effective training & assessment of learning.
- Has had formal training as an instructor, holds a Certificate or Diploma in Training Methodology & Practice, & holds an NVQ D32/33 or A1 assessor qualification.
- Minimum of 5 years experience as an Instrumentation Instructor, including a minimum of 2 years experience writing training materials.
- Excellent speaking & writing skills,
- Very good IT skills.
- Knowledge & experience of MS Office packages Word, Excel & Power Point
