Job Description:
• Lead the technical discussions
• Be able to uncover hidden needs and address through solutions
• Be an Expert in at least one of the following and familiar with one of the remaining
Storage and Backup
Virtualisation
Servers
Applications (Oracle, SAP, etc)
• Builds high quality solutions that meet client requirements and can be delivered profitably. Plan and gather information in order to define system objectives.
• Support local implementation, management and maintenance of Datacraft Datacentre and Storage solution offerings including the pre-sales and the actual delivery activities.
• Develops personal rapport and professional respect with field sales and professional services teams.
• Prioritizes his/her time to focus on highly qualified, larger opportunities with target prospects.
• Enumerate and articulate TCO and ROI supporting investments in Datacentre and Storage.
• Participates in formal account planning workshops for Datacentre and Storage.
• Attends sales calls with relevant clients to identify and analyze potential opportunities for Datacentre and Storage.
• Delivers high quality, technical expertise in the pre-sales process to help close sales opportunities with the client.
• Engages with clients facilitating workshops to jointly develop understanding of their environment, synthesizes findings, draws and presents conclusions.
• Ensures technical compatibility between the client’s requirements and the products and Datacentre and Storage offered by Datacraft.
• Develops SOW and estimates and pricing for client proposals for Datacentre and Storage.
• Develops, monitors client relationships and status of ongoing engagements, PS pipelines and projects.
• Provides day-to-day guidance and mentoring to new and existing PS staff in Datacentre and Storage.
• Participates in project-specific technical teams.
• Actively participates in industry groups and forums.

Essential Job Related SKills:
• In-depth capability and understanding of Datacentre and Storage technologies and their application.
• Ability to articulate and develop Datacentre and Storage architectures and roadmaps for clients
• Experience in analyzing Client infrastructure to ensure that the infrastructure is ready for the Datacentre and Storage.
• Experience in designing and deploying Datacentre and Storage.
• Ability to produce high-quality written materials including proposals, business cases and plans which convey complex analysis and arguments in a concise manner
• Experience in estimating and project costing
• Experience in providing consulting and assessment services in following:
- Server consolidation and virtualization using VMWare
- Design and deploying SAN solutions in storage, backup and replication in EMC or Network Appliance solutions
- Design and deployment of Backup using Veritas or Legato
• Working knowledge of Operating Systems – Windows and various flavor of Unix – Solaris, AIX, HP Unix etc

Desired Skills:
• ITIL foundation certification
• Understanding of ROI and TCO in the relevant areas
• Excellent interpersonal skills - be able to interface with Senior IT Management staff at customers.
• Understanding of Networking Concepts - LAN/WAN, VLANs, Routing, Networking will be a bonus

Desired Candidate Profile:
• Good tertiary education in software engineering and computer technologies.
