Audio/Video Skills
1. Personally interviewed Dr. Job Kurian, HOD of Aerospace engineering, IIT Chennai as part of the College community radio service – MOP CRS 107.8 MHz.
2. Was the Program executive for all the programs aired on the MOP FM 91.2 MHz for duration of 1.5 weeks. The role involved planning, production, radio scripting, technical and administrative work, Radio Jockeying (hosting the programs), maintaining public relations and talent scouting and promotion.
3. Was the radio jockey for a chat show on “Usage of cell phones in colleges” on the All India Radio service.
4. Conducted extensive research on ‘Appreciation and analysis of Media studies’ for a classic Indian movie “Parineeta”. This involved analysis of key concepts, art of production, audio/video/VFX techniques used as well as the aesthetics and design taking into account every minute detail.
5. Shot a ten minute long documentary film titled – “Still Kicking’ highlighting active old women who are contributing to the society. The process involved shooting/editing/voice-over using professional equipment.
6. Shot and edited video and a Booklet & DVD designing for www.piri.com.au as a part of the Postgraduate project in Swinburne university.
Software Designing
1. As part of project work in the ‘Business English’ elective, using several software tools, I designed the posters, brochures, logo, website, tariff, documents highlighting rules/contingency plans etc for a brand new resort offering star facilities.
2. Undertook a two month course to learn the premium software Maya with specialization in ‘Rigging’.
3. Made several websites using softwares like Photoshop, Illustrator, Flash(Actionscript 3) as a part of university project.
Photography Skills
1. As part of the project work in the ‘Photography’ elective, I shot several photographs on travel, babies and poverty in India. I also worked on the SLR camera resolution and settings to capture some candid shots!
Personal Skills
1. Attended a seminar and also participated in a workshop by famous television anchors (SS Music) on “Anchoring and Presentation’
2. Pursued my personal interests in creation of environments/logos and various objects using software 3DSMax.
