Job Description:

* To develop pest management standards organically for different crops studying and researching the best practices available in Europe and USA and disseminating the knowledge through field officers.
* To provide extension services including consultation and advice through network of field officers for the latest techniques in pest management.
* Inspect and implement various national and international regulatory and quality certification standards on organic farming, fair trade certifications & food safety standards.
* Conduct internal audits, and enhance capability development through training field officers.
* Develop interpersonal relationships and maintain a good rapport with the Production, Quality Control and certification bodies.
* The job will require extensive travelling at Gujarat, Maharastra and Rajasthan


Desired Candidate Profile:

* He should have fairly good knowledge of entomological practices widely prevalent for different crops, especially, for cotton, oilseeds, cumin, maize, paddy etc. Knowledge of cultural, time tested and traditional methods of pest management duly verified through agricultural research will be a distinct advantage.
* Experience of working in agriculture extension services and Knowledge of regulatory affairs, national and international organic standards will have an added advantage.

M.Sc in Entomology would be preferred
