    Company manufactures surfactant products-AOS liquid, AOS paste, AOS needles, AOS powder, AOS noodles. SLS liquid,SLS powder, SLS needles, PAS needles. SLES liquid,SLES paste. Major customers are HUL, CKL.
    It’s a state of art plant designed by CHEMIHON having split type arrangement. (Only one in Asia) There are 2 Reactors 1- IIT Reactor & 2nd – Chemithon Reactor.
    At a time 2 reactors are running with 2 different products are running in 2 reactors with 1 gas plant.
    Achievements :
    Running SLES paste in split mode.
    Earlier problems faced were high colour. Neut pressure & temp were higher due to bleaching, bleaching agent changed, everything came normal & Ndom was also reduced.
    AOS ndom was brought down from 2.5% in AOS paste & 2.2% in AOS liquid to 1.4% & 0.8% respectively by slight modifications in the system without altering other quality parameters.
    Viscosity problem was sorted out in AOS CKL grade liquid.
    Training imparted to the unskilled personnel’s to make them to run the highly sophisticated auto plant with keeping in to consideration quality parameters, maintenance.
    Had undergone HAZOP training from CLI-MUMBAI. Thereafter successfully made analyses of the existing plant & new modifications.
    Had successfully completed the capacity expansion project.
    Analytical method of problem detecting & solving was implemented.

    I was engaged in manufacture of dye intermediate. Plant was batch process controlled by DCS. Product dryer in Spray dryer with capacity of 400kgs/hr water evaporation. Equipment handled were evaporators centrifuges, notches filters scrubbers also sodium bisulfate was manufactured as by product. I was Responsible for Production Maintenance Control of Cricket Parameters, Achieving Targets and Manpower Planning, Production rate un dryer increased from 430kgs/hr to 500kgs/hr successful installation of DCS, batch time reduction reaction reduced by 1 hr.
    There I successfully prepared material balance and energy balance, project on gravity flow type batch plant, which was later on employed in practice.
    Material balance was useful in identifying the losses and efficiently operating the effluent treatment plant after effluents were quantified.
    Energy balance was useful in energy consumption pattern and possible energy conservation.

    Galaxy Surfactants is a Company Manufactures Surfactants, which are used widely in Soaps. Shampoos, Detergents, Toothpastes with HLL and Colgate being major customers. Plant is continuous sulfonation unit and ethoxylation. For needles dryer is wiped firm type with evaporation capacity around 452 kgs/hr. Capacity of sulfonation plant was 1430kgs/hr (100% basis) les and 1200 kgs/hr. sls. Major equipment handled involved pumps, vacuum pumps, whrb, chillers, compressors, heat exchanges, and scrubbers.
    Company received ISO9001-2000 version in the year 2003, also Co. is successfully implementing TPM at work place.
    As Process Officer I was to control process, by a controlling Critical Control Parameters, Production Planning, Maintenance Targets & Maintaining and following ISO Standards, norms, forming network between various departments for achieving target, reducing losses by proper preventive maintenance of various equipments.
