Scope of the project was meshing of BIW parts with second order right angle triangles using HYPERMESH tool.

Generator component, to avoid resonance.
Scope of the project was meshing the component using second order quad elements using HYPERMESH tool.

Increasing the thickness of the component surface to avoid the restricted limit of vibration.
Repeated above process until all restricted limit of frequencies are eliminated.

PROJECT 1 : DESIGN AND IMPLEMENTATION OF LOW WEIGHT ORNITHOPTER
DESCRIPTION : The main scope of this project is the structural design and development of a low weight ornithopter. Ornithopter is a vehicle which flies by flapping wings which can be radio controlled manually. It is used as one of the major surveillance purpose vehicles in the field of Defense. It has many potential advantages in maneuverability and energy savings when compared to fixed wing. The use of flapping wing offers even larger displaced, air mass, moved at lower velocity, thus improving efficiency. Also in order to reduce the weight and design complexity of the vehicle, the materials used are carbon fiber and myler. This design reduces the vehicle weight to one half of the conventional vehicle, which leads to a better range, endurance and efficiency.

PROJECT 2 : DESIGN AN UNMANNED AERIAL VEHICLE WITH LOW WEIGHT AND BETTER EFFICIENCY
DESCRIPTION : The objective of this project is to design an UAV with low weight and better efficiency. This was done in several stages including weight estimation, air foil and power plant selection, predicting performance and aerodynamic characteristics and final design of aircraft. Also it was concluded that the designed aircraft has low weight and better aerodynamic characteristics than other similar aircraft's.
CONCLUSION : UAVs represent an area of rapid development in both military and civilian applications. UAVs unique capabilities of flying dangerous, long, or precision missions give it a unique advantage over conventional aircraft.
