Job Description:

Serves as Trade Officer in the economic department of a Foreign Diplomatic Mission in Mumbai. The Economic Department is responsible for all trade and economic activities of the mission in the South-Western part of India.

-Analyzing the Indian Market potential for over-seas companies
-Assisting over-seas and local companies identifying partners
-Writing and issuing reports and newsletters to local and foreign firms
-Planning and organizing in-coming and out-going business delegations
-Seeking and identifying potential investors for over-seas firms
-Planning and organizing Exhibitions and other marketing and PR activities all over India.
-Meeting with high-ranking government officials and leading industrialists
-Working with local and International Press and Media companies.
-Building Data Bases and maintaining a Blog and a website.

Work may require some travel within India and may include 1 trip abroad per year.



Desired Candidate Profile:

- Bachelor degree in economic or related fields such as business, trade, commerce, law, engineering, science etc. is a MUST. PG degree may be an advantage.
- Well established knowledge of the basics of the economic and industrial world.
- Related experience is a plus. Fresh eager graduates are encouraged to apply.
- COMPLETE fluency in written and spoken English and Hindi is required. Good working knowledge in one of the South Indian languages is a plus.
- EXCELLENT computer skills including extensive knowledge of data-mining on the internet
- Impeccable poise, tact and diplomacy in dealing with host country officials and industrialists as well as other visitors are ESSENTIAL.

The Applicant should be highly accountable and capable to work and handle responsibilities alone and must have excellent communications and interpersonal skills.
