Job Description:

The candidate will work closely with the Senior Manager, BD and Strategy and the Top Management of Kalpan (Chairman and CEO of Kalpan) and will have the opportunity to shape the strategy and growth of the business. The candidate will support

- Business Development including deal origination to management of the entire hydro projects acquisition process (deal identification, technical/financial/legal due diligence, development and negotiation of term sheets, investment memorandum, presentation of the proposal to the investment committee for funding approval, identification of co-investors, definitive agreements, closing and post closing issues)
- Support Co-investment strategies for projects within the company’s portfolio
- Identify and forge strategic alliances with potential partners in the hydro/infrastructure sector
- Interact closely with the Chairman, CEO and CFO to meet the reporting requirements of the existing private equity investors
- Support Series B Funding in managing the entire investment process
- Support the refinement of the strategy
- Manage and Maintain various databases of the company

The candidate will have strong analytical and financial skills including project financing, Financial modeling, structured finance, sourcing equity and debt, lending agreements, risk analysis, investor education and relationship management and project economic analysis. In addition,

- CA and or MBA from a leading business school
- Background in the energy sector
- 3 to 6 years working for Equity Research Firm/ Infrastructure Firm/ Investment bank/ Corporate Finance boutique

Compensation

- Salary between 10 – 13 lakhs pa, depending on the experience
- Will include fixed, bonus, and healthy stock options
