Description:
1. Responsible for monitoring the Production queries using PMON and Teradata Manager (M)
2. Should have the ability to understand the access granting for the production users (M)
3. Should know backup and restore process using veritas netBackup and mainframe archiving . (M)
4. Should have the ability to know mainframe operations for eg. endevor, opca, and infojcl (M)
5. Responsible to manage the development databases on dev server (M)
6. Responsible for creation of the databases, tables for projects, (M)
7. Responsible for creation of tables for testing and development projects in accordance with established processes, standards, practice & procedures. (M)
8. Responsible for controlling the access to the dev and testing users for both sensitive and non-sensitive data (n)
9. Responsible or should have experience of handling the data masking techniques (n)
10. Should have the ability to review the production change request (n)
11. Should have the ability to provide consultancy for the live issues forwarded from production support team (n)
12. Should know Teradata concepts for multi-value compression, capacity management and performance management (M)
14. Checking the Incidents raised on DBA team (M)
15. Should have the ability to review the data model changes applied as part of post implementation and pre implementation process (n)
16. Responsible to provide consultancy for data modelling best practices (n)
17. Responsible for performing daily monitoring (M)
18. Should have the ability to trouble shoot datastage specific errors during the ETL loading process (n)
19. Responsible for troubleshoot the FastLoading and Multiloading errors (M)
20. Document the process. (M)
