Job Description:

Select, evaluate vendors for products as per drawing for new Items.
Negotiate and finalise the prices.
Assist and ensure that the price, supplier and buyer data is available in Item data before MRP run
Print Purchase Orders and release to suppliers after generation by Planning.
Follow up on expected material inflow and reduce backlog
Action urgent requests for material by communication with suppliers on advancement /postponement in
delivery schedule.
Process supplier documents for payment after receipt and satisfactory clearance from Reliability.
Ensure payments are released to suppliers as per payment terms agreed.
Monitor rejection of items from vendors and interact with vendors for reduction in rejection.
Maintain documents related to the purchase function.
Achieve on time delivery target for the function & ensure the availabity of materials to production line.
Achieve material cost reduction for the function
Achieve target reduction in rejection rate
Achieve target reduction in number of suppliers as per target for the function
Developing new components for R&D projects
Co-ordinate with stores in sending back the rejected materials to supplier
Release Sub-contracting purchase orders as per planned production order.
