The project comprises of ‘THE DESIGN OF CONTROL CIRCUIT FOR PUG CUTTING MACHINE’.
The process of grinding the mixture of clay, feldspar, quartz and mineral with water will be carried out using ball mills. The function of pugmill is to cut the PUG and extrude the ceramic body in a required shape. The pug coming out from the extrusion machine was being sliced using manual labour.
This system had many drawbacks such as wastage of pug, increase in the production costs, increased production time, Purely depending on labours.
Thus to overcome these drawbacks, developing an efficient control circuit using relays, contactors, timers, sensors, etc to achieve a more effective and dependable method of cutting the pugs using a machine is the main objective of my project.
The future scope is to build a control circuit using PLC (Programmable Logic Controller)
