    Job Description:

    •Responsible for the design/redesign of the sub-systems of the Transient voltage surge suppressor (TVSS) products using Pro/e.

    •Develop Solid Modeling, assembly and detailing and release the drawings to manufacturing plant after proper tolerance analysis and analyzing the design using ANSYS.

    •Also responsible for the procurement of prototypes from the suppliers and should coordinate with the plant, suppliers, reliability and marketing teams for the implementation of the project.

    •Adhering to business standards, practices, procedures, and product / program requirements and handle it independently

    •Assure proper documentation of technical data generated for the assigned projects and/or tasks consistent with engineering policies and procedures

    •Provide timely communications on significant issues or developments

    •Conduct the Technical reviews independently by following GE NPI Process



    Desired Candidate Profile:

    •B.E/B.Tech in Mechanical with 5-8 years experience in Product Design in any industry.

    •Experience in Plastic & Sheet metal components design is preferred with the various manufacturing process knowledge (mainly sheet metal, plastic moulds) .

    •Ability to write test procedures and test reports for UL/IEC/CE/GB standards

    •Excellent communication skills (Oral/Written) and presentation skills for interactions with local & Global teams.

    •Ability to work independently and ability to prioritize workload.

    •Excellent organizational, interpersonal & analytical skills required.

    •Strong technical aptitude, including applicable engineering tools and systems

    •Understanding of Design for Manufacturing, manufacturing cost, and reproducibility

    •Effective multitasking and ability to deliver on time and with quality.
