Project Facilitation Team member cluster Bijaha Jaisinghnagar Block in Shahdol M. P.
Government of Madhya Pradesh (GoMP), has launched in June 2004, the ambitious MP Rural Livelihoods Project (MPRLP), supported by Department for International Development (DFID), UK, focused on enhancing livelihood options of the poor, with center of attention on enhancing ability of Gram Sabha & village Development Committee along with increase ability of Government line department & community institution through convergence, in the tribal belts of Jhabua, Dhar, Badwani, Mandla, Anuppur, Shahdol, Sheopur and Dindori districts. The flagship interventions of the project are Watershed Development, Joint Forest Management, and facilitating the development of entrepreneurial capacities among the poor residing in the selected districts. The end objectives of the programme are to enhance sustainable livelihoods, check indebtedness and reduce distress migration.

Job responsibilities
- Establishing and maintaining a wider interface between the community and the project team, facilitating project activities in the villages and ensure active and informed participation of women and poorest in these for developing equity and sustainability in all the project interventions.
- Identification of appropriate field for various project interventions such as Social development, NRM etc
- Responsible for implementing the MPRLP as a Point person of (MNREGA, Forestry, Bio-gas, MIS & Reporting ).
- Capacitating & strengthening Panchayti Raj Institutional arrangements through information sharing, training & capacity building.
- Capacitating Gram Sabha to plan & monitor projects as well as other government-sponsored schemes such as Indira Awas yozna, MNREGS, SGSY etc..
- Focusing on pro-poor strategies to strengthen the livelihoods of marginal/landless households though IGAs, SHGs micro finance etc.
- Organizing women into self help group & issue based capacity building programs.
