Job Summary: As an Internal Auditor you will conduct internal financial and/or system audits and risk assessments of the Company's financial and operational practices. You will create reports, ensure compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley, and make recommendation for improvements. Strong knowledge of finance and accounting, with an understanding of information systems operations is important for success in this role. Essential Functions: - Conduct internal financial and /or system audits and risk assessments. - Prepare audit plans and establish audit criteria to ensure compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley and other legislatively mandated compliance initiatives. - Execute audits within established business process controls. - Test and document financial and systems records for system integrity and data transaction accuracy. - Report discrepancies to management and regulatory compliance agencies; recommend process improvements. - Ensure that audit procedures for automated systems are developed, including internal computer checks and balances as required. - Oversee the coordination of the internal audit program with outside examiners and auditors. Education and Experience:- A minimum of 12 years of experience is required. - A Bachelor of Arts of Sciences Degree, or equivalent experience is required.- Demonstrated ability to have completed multiple, complex technical projects.
