    Based on my experience with this company, this company will not pay on time and also they are looting all our money. Always squeezing candidates and not given value for humans. Please be careful with this company

    I worked with Mr. Smithey for two seasons with the now Defunct Antarctic Support Associates (ASA). From October 98 thru February 99 Mr. Smithey was employed as a certified Pipefitter and welder with ASA. During the season of October 99 thru February 2000, Mr. Smithey was hired as a Sr. Construction Coordinator and oversaw the construction of two 2.2 million gallon fuel tanks at McMurdo station. In the capacity of Sr.. Construction Coorinator, Mr. Smithey acted both as welding inspector, overseeing the work of subcontract welders, and as a project manager for this construction project.
    Antarctic Support Associates (ASA), had the contract with the National Science Foundation from 1990 to 2000 to perform all contract work in Antarctica for the United States Antarctic Program (USAP). Raytheon Polar Services Co won the contract in 2000 and is now the primary contractor for the National Science Foundation in the USAP. Antarctic Support Associates dissolved as a company after loosing this contact. Many of the employees transferred to the new company, but the company itself is not the same legal entity now.
