Job Profile of Shift Engineer Utilities and offsite:

Chemical Engg graduate/Diploma Holder in Chemical Engg. . Minimum 5 years of off-site and utility Deptt. Experience is essential.
The job will be in shift and will involve entire operations of Utility section i.e DM water, effluent treatment plant etc.
Reports directly to the Head of Process. Understands company health, safety and environmental policy & how it’s related to his job also able for comprehensive report writing.

-Developing Quality Plans and Quality Control Procedures in accordance with contract requirements and applicable Codes and Standards like ASME, AWS, IBR, ASTM, API, ASTM,NACE, AWWA, ISO, SSPC etc.

- Witnessing and documenting of painting activities through the preparation of daily inspection Reports, through raising RFIs, inspection and documentation.
- Coordinate blasting and painting work and ensure compliance with project specification.
- Incoming Material inspection.
- Interfacing with Third party Inspection Agencies, Clients & Contractors. Attending & Conducting Pre-Inspection & Pre-Manufacturing Meetings.
- Undertaking execution, inspection and supervision of painting Jobs as per project specifications.
- Inspecting work in progress for conformance with the latest approved revisions of drawings and specifications and verifying that finished work meets acceptance criteria.
- Ensuring Fit-ups are correctly made as per WPS and randomly checking that Internal Release Note Information is correctly filled by the shop foreman for proper tractability information.
- Ensure all surface preparation and application is conducted in accordance with the specified standard for that painting system according to procedures/specifications.
- Reviewing painting specifications, technical & safety data sheets, blasting and painting procedures.
- Checking the validity of calibration certificates of all inspection tools and equipment prior to and during work execution.
- Monitoring and verifying blasting and painting quality issues i.e. measuring weather conditions, surface profile, paint thickness, holiday detection test to ensure compliance with relevant project specification.
- Provide Coating and engineering expertise input for the preparation of proposals, method statements, risk assessments, job safety analysis and quality inductions to ensure the design intent is achieved without compromising HSE.

Documentation

-Maintaining all the documents of appropriate quality records of Pipe, Spools and Structures per the standards as well as preparing reports and maintaining records.
-Preparing daily progress report to record usage of painting materials, inspection activities carried out, etc.

OTHER ACTIVITIES:-

Title : Acid Proof Lining and Refractory Lining Projects.
-Supervision/Inspection of acid proof lining system of the following infrastructure.
-Water treatment plants, Digester body lining, Acid pickling tanks etc.

-Conducting supervision/inspection of hot, cold, acoustic and under deck insulation system for:
