The primary responsibility of the Practice Area Manager position requires a senior-level professional to set best in class team standards, through superlative client service, responsiveness, attention to detail, overall quality control and industry knowledge. Moreover, the individual hired for this position must be capable of: Team building and management: -

•Working with the London-based HC Practice Leader to build, manage and coach a staff of 10 professionals located in Gurgaon, India. This may include contributing to team performance evaluations, quality control standards and developing project execution best practices

•Growing a robust HC product offering : With sellers (Council Members)

•Proactively working with GLG experts across a variety of industries from clinical cardiology to pharmaceutical benefit management in order to arrive at the most appropriate educational solutions to suit the HC client

•Working with industry specific practice areas to build and retain populations relevant to servicing the HC client-base and where necessary co-launching communications campaigns designed to extend the reach of the GLG Councils in the relevant sectors and win expert loyalty to the GLG consulting platform. With buyers (clients)

•Ensuring excellent project execution and adherence to GLG client service and compliance standards. The Practice Area Manager should develop a keen sense over time of the ideal GLG solutions and experts appropriate for specific client requests Commercial leadership:

•Providing internal HC “franchise” expertise to key GLG business stakeholders – driving expansion of utility of HC team capabilities

•Working closely with client-facing colleagues and other service professionals to ensure the delivery of the highest quality client solution in the most efficient manner

•Working closely with leading members of the GLG expert network and multiple internal departments to identify and drive major firm initiatives designed to grow revenue from the HC team and overall GLG product offerings.

•Identifying and developing innovative approaches to increase the exposure of the HC team offering through new product concepts.
