Job Description:

Support the preparation/generation of orders
Process receipt of materials after acceptance of user and process of bills for payment
Process orders and coordinate with other functions to obtain and clarify necessary information
Assist with the preparation and submission of orders and contracts, and follow up correspondence
Keep track of the status of purchase orders and order processing
Float enquiries to potential vendors and prepare price comparative statement
Support the coordination of scheduling and shipping
Inform line manager on potential problems in non-availability or late delivery
Assist with report generation and analysis when necessary
Maintain an accurate and updated information/documentation system
Provide administrative support when necessary

Desired Candidate Profile:

Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in Purchase or Sales Administration
Experience in heavy machinery, steel manufacturing or engineering companies preferred
Understanding of Supply Chain Management and ERP preferred
Knowledge of BAAN highly advantageous
Attention to detail
Ability to work with minimal supervision
Ability to deliver and meet timelines
