Position : Production Engineering Head (Bangalore)

No. of positions : 1

Role : Has the responsibility of receiving technology from the overseas partner in terms of Know-how / Know-why , translation of processes (Manufacturing and Special processes) and ensuring adoption and improvement under local conditions for In-house manufacturing as well as by sub-contractors. This should eventually result in the Organization developing the capability to design processes for all new programmes / projects that we will be engaged in. Will also have a key role in identifying and selecting right machines / equipment , designing process layouts and developing Tools , Jigs and Fixtures. Must possess a good knowledge of Aerospace materials, manufacturing processes and special processes (surface & heat treatment) with a hands on experience of CNC machining (and programming), special machines including honing and grinding (Experience and exposure to aerospace actuators, related precision components and landing gear parts manufacturing will be an added advantage). An experience in defining and developing process flow charts, process sheets, time sheets is necessary. Must provide support to vendors / sub-contractors for processes and should be conversant with the AS9100 Quality system and NADCAP certification processes.
Profile : BE/ M-Tech (Mechanical/Production/Industrial Engineering) from an IIT / NIT or reputed engineering college with an experience of 10-15 years in aerospace or a related industry.

Projects Undertaken
- “Effective end utilization of carbon di oxide from gas sweetening unit.”
This project deals with the uses of carbon di oxide removed from natural gas (called as gas
Sweetening) using a solvent. A huge amount of carbon di oxide is emitted in the surrounding which
is good source of energy in any other form. This project gives the solution that how to convert
carbon di oxide to petrol mainly using processes like “Fischer tropsch” and “Mobil”. A complete
study of gas sweetening unit done while working on this project. This project was done in GAIL
India Ltd Pata, Kanpur, (U. P) India for 1 month.

- “Mathematical modeling of an enzymatic reaction using numerical techniques.”
This project was done in final year of chemical engineering. This project deals with the behavior of enzymatic reaction using enzymes like novozyme using mathematical methods like “Monte Carlo”. A mathematical model developed for reaction to get reaction kinetic constants to define reaction kinetics and to optimize the reaction product and minimize enzyme consumption.

- Tracing of power consumption in plant and reduction in it.
- All India rank 438 in Gate 2009 exam.
- University Representative in University Students’ Council R.T.M.Nagpur University nominated by Vice Chancellor Nagpur University.
- YICC – a national level competition in UICT Mumbai, declared as winner in 2009.
- A national level paper presentation on fuel cell given in VPCOE, Baramati, Pune in 2005.
- An elementary work done on bubble column reactor to minimize the channeling using electric field.
