Stay away from Pearl Play Interior Designers – They have scammed grmtech!!

If you’re planning to remodel your office or home and are thinking of hiring Pearl Play Interior Designers (www.pearlplay.in) then beware!! The company having its office at 19 A, Canal West Road, Kolkata : 700006 and owned by Mr. Rajiv Mitra is a scam. There mobile numbers are 9903349094, 9230646406, 9831255023

Mr. Mitra is very unprofessional and charges very high fees for their services but also doesn’t bother to finish the ongoing project and also pressures to get more money after the project is midway. Read on to know how they scammed us.

Pearl Play Designers – How they scammed grmtech

The latest victim of Pearl Play Interior Designers scam is Great Media Technologies Private Limited (www.grmtech.com) having its office at AE 665 Salt Lake Kolkata – 700064. Unaware of their unscrupulous attitude, Grmtech entered into a contract with Pearl Play owner Mr. Rajiv Mitra on 27th September 2010.

Our company agreed to pay Rs. 2 Lac to Pearl Play for remodeling and designing its Directors Chamber. The scope of the work included making a table, false ceiling, toughened glass door and partition, painting, light fittings, wall paper and stone tiles on wall along with chair for the director and visitors.

We agreed to let Pearl Play start the work start on 4th October and Rajiv Mitra promised to complete the entire project within 4th November, 2010. However, he was unable to handover the renovated chamber even by 4th December 2010. He increased the value of the contract from Rs. 2 Lac to Rs. 2.27 Lac midway and wanted more money and time to complete the project. He has given us a financial statement which shows that he has spent all the Rs. 1.60 Lac that we have given to him as advance and now he wants to increase the value of the total contract again.

Now Mrs. Anindita Chatterjee of Pearl Plaay is calling the director of grmtech and saying that we wont complete the project until we are given more money and time and that grmtech can do anything that it wants!!

Grmtech even gave Mr. Rajiv Mitra of Pearl Play the option of handing over the chamber in its incomplete state by 4th December. Now he is alleging that we have asked him to stop the work and he left the interior work in the directors chamber in dirty and incomplete state.

Right now Mr. Rajiv Mitra of Pearl Play is not even receiving any calls from grmtech office number. We are shocked by his behavior and we pity him that how he will survive by cheating people and companies of time and money. Grmtech will be taking all the legal action by going to the police and filing a cheating and forgery case against Mr. Rajiv Mitra and Pearl Play.

So, next time you plan to give any contract to Mr. Rajiv Mitra or Mrs. Anindita Chaterjee or Mr. Bijay Deb ( Pearl Play’s sweet talking sales person ), think twice. Don’t get impressed by the glossy pictures published in their website.

However, it is easy to fake the "From email id". So I am not really sure if this is from a genuine source.

IP details will be handed over for sure over if government authorities ask.
However, mail me to
