Description : As the technology is advancing all manual work is atomised to reduce the mechanical work. At present Electricity billing system is manual. So we have made an attempt to implement a project which atomises the Electricity billing system.
In this project microcontroller will read the readings from the meter & it will send the number of units consumed to the ground station. Here ground station is a mobile, the person in the ground station will calculate the amount & sends back one more message to that GSM number about the bill payment which will be displayed on the LCD screen.
If the user fails to pay the bill on time, the ground station will send one message to cut off the mains from load. The controller receives the message it disconnects the mains by switching off the relay.
Later when the bill is paid the ground station will receive the information that the bill is paid .the ground station will send one more message to connect the mains to the load.
