Description : I proposed to develop the Centralized Energy Billing and we name as Wireless Pre-Paid Energy Meter ,This project involves performing the main concept of the project is the Pre-Paid system which is designed using an EEPROM chip in which the total number of unit consumed and the balance amount is present . The Project “Centralized Energy Billing Using Wireless Pre-Paid Energy Meter” as the title suggests the energy billing is done in the pre payment method (i.e. Pay first and then use), the most common billing system in India in the communication field. So there will be a digital energy meter which will be measuring the electrical energy consumed by the consumer and converting it into discrete pulses corresponding to the instantaneous load which are counted by the microcontroller and displayed as calibrated on the LCD display .the main part of the project is the prepaid system which is designed using an EEPROM chip which will be containing a number of units a consumer can consume before the power to the load is cut off .so this system can also be called a smart energy system building .
whenever the consumer feels like recharging the units he can go and pay the required amount and get the chip recharged using wireless technology .there by he don’t need to wait for the chip to exhaust totally and break his schedule to recharge the chip and since the meter is sealed and the recharged chip is inside the sealed box there is no chance of theft of chip etc. in the present system there is a provision of monitoring the load on the consumer meter and there by maintaining a database of each consumer and feeder and there by helping the distribution company to estimate the load of each single contd.

- Select proper prepaid amount
- The amount gets copied into the EPROM
- According to the consumption levels the units will gets decreased
- Your prepaid amount gets expired after all relevant consumption is gets completed
