Power Generation from Vertical Axis Wind Turbine(VAWT) is used for converting the power of the wind into torque on a rotating shaft. Aerodynamically they are drag type devices, consisting of two or three scopes. The rotation of the blade converts the potential energy of the wind to mechanical energy which then it is converted into electrical energy using dynamo.
