I have worked as a trainee at Rishi Herbal Technologies Pvt. Ltd, Bangalore for a period of sixth months under Biotech Industrial Training Program (BITP) sponsored by Biotech Consortium India Limited, Department Of Biotechnology (dbt) and ministry of sciences (Govt. of India).

During training I have dealed with various aspects of plant tissue culture such as stock preparation, media preparation, various sterilization procedure to maintain asepsis in plant tissue culture.Maintenance of culture room, various stages of micropropagation, acclimatization and green house maintenance also.
We have dealed with various extraction procedure to extract anticancerous compound from anticancerous plant material such as leaves, seeds, callus etc.We have also learnt the effect of various natural extracts on the growth of various anticancerous plants.We have also done callus culture by using leaves as a explant,for this we used various hormones such as 2,4-D,TPA,picloram.Seed culture, in this we worked with very minute, small and big seeds.Nutrition project:We also did the the experiment to know the effect of heavy metal such as iron,chromium on the germination of selected seeds, for this we prepared stock solutions of different metal.
