Job Description:

1. Ability to prepare straightforward plans, designs, calculations, analyses, etc. in accordance with established codes, standards and drawings in the areas of steel, concrete, timber, formwork/falsework, crane foundations and climbing supports.
2. Prepare preliminary designs and cost estimates for the purpose of assisting the estimating department on bid proposals.
3. Analyze a number of engineering design methods including, Structural, Steel, Timber, Aluminum or Concrete materials, using both Limit States and Allowable Stress methods.
4. Familiar with all aspects of formwork installation, concrete production and placing, curing and protection.
5. Analyzing simple structural members and designing the same with either Steel, Timber, Aluminum or Concrete materials, using both Limit States and Allowable Stress methods.
6. Ability to sequence or cycle formwork/falsework economically, perform accessory take-offs, and resolve forming problems as the project progresses.
7. Must be able to present compelling and visually pleasing productions on varied building construction topics.
8. Perform additional assignments per supervisor’s direction.

Desired Candidate Profile:

1. Educational and experience requirements include: Civil/Structural Engineering Degree with five to ten (5–10) years working experience in the major disciplines of engineering, particularly civil or structural.
2. General computer competency and proficiency with AutoCAD.
3. Excellent communication, organizational, supervisory, interpersonal and planning skills required.
