Job Description
Should be a graduate engineer in Mechanical Engineering, having atleast 10 years experience in Design Engineering/erection of a major thermal project. Should have fairly good knowledge about super critical technology and implementation of a major coal based thermal project. A person having site experience as well , shall be preferred.
Skill Set
1.To have a fair understanding of the proposal and basic Engineering for Thermal Power Project.
2. To be able to deduce the BoQ of the project and should be able to do a detailed costing of the Project.
3. To be able to interact with the suppliers and get the techno commercial offer for the same.
4. To be able to evaluate the tenders for various packages an EPC.
5. To be able to coordinate with EPC and Owner's engineers on design aspects.
6. To have complete knowledge on the QA and QC of all the packages.
7. To be able to appoint consultant for finalizing the EPC.
8. To be able to make the project feasibility and DPR etc
9. To be able to study and give the technical inputs for various clearances required for the project.

Desired Candidate Profile:
DESIRED PROFILE
1. Should have sound knowledge in the Super Critical technology.
2. Experience of working out costing of the Project.
3. Good knoqledge of the various vendors in equipment supply.
4. Sound knowledge of the Technical aspects in various packages..
5. To be able to select and discuss the optimized layout and packages for the project.
6. Should have executed at least one Thermal Power Project and should have sound knowledge preparing of QA/QC
7. To have good networking in the technical consultants in the energy sector.
8. Should have sound knowledge in project reports and presentations. ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES
1. To do the proposal basic engineering for the Thermal Power Project in mechanical engineering.
2. To discuss and finalize the design documents from the EPC and suppliers.
3. To give the entire costing in details with project schedule and phasing of expenditure at the bidding stage.
