- 2001 to 2005 worked in Mechanical Site engineer, Design & Operations site engineer in 800mw GVK combined cycle power plant.
Heat recovery steam Generator:
HRSG (horizontal Gas flow with natural circulation type arrangement),with HP steam outlet 60kg/sec with pressure 56 bar and LP Steam Outlet 14.70 kg/sec with pressure 3.8 bar, hence with Output Power77MW.
Worked, familiar with following systems:
- HRSG Start ups, 24” Condenser Cooling water Pipe line system with cooling Tower fans (Paharpur), Cycle make up pumps for maintaining the daerator level.
- Daerator: Normal Operating Pressure:2.2 to 2.8 Bar. and temperature 160 DEG C., Condensate Extraction Pumps trips at trips at Daerator Level 1800mm and Normal Make up in between 1485-1525mm.
High Pressure Boiler Feed pumps: which feeds feed water to boiler, Capacity is 122m3/hr and minimum capacity 25m3/hr, Suction/discharge pressure 5/96 bar, Motor Details:500KW/50 Amps/6.6 KV and with minimum flow recirculation valve.

Liquid ring Vaccum Pumps: Maintaining Vaccum in Condenser for removal of non-condensible gases.
Gland steam System: HP, LP Turbines have 2 sets of seals inner and outer,Inner Seals are maintained at high pressure 0.2 bar during Start up by admission pressure by HP steam through Gland steam shut-off valve and 0.3 bar during operation by dump CV.
Lube oil system: 2x100% AC Driven lube oil pumps and DC lube oil Pumps, which feeds to HP & LP Turbine bearings and reduction gearbox.

Ensurance close of Transmitter and Drum level indicators
Start the Hydro Test pump with recirculation valve open, Start pressurizing HP drum gradually with an increment of 1.0 bar and observe the pressure at pump discharge and at HP Drum carefully.
Thoroughly check safety valves for any passing and other valves for any leaks during Pressurization. After HP drum reaches to 80 bar. hold the pressure for 15 minutes,and check for leaks.If pressure is holding ,depressurize hp drum GRADUALLY TO ZERO.
