- Expression and Purification of Staphylococcus aureus Protein A in E.coli and its Application in Immunodiagnosis(ELISA).
DESCRIPTION :
The aim of the project is to express immunoglobulin binding domains of Protein A in E. coli and purified to homogeneity. The purified protein was used as a capture antigen to capture human IgG, as a detection reagent in ELISA to detect antibodies to HIV-1, HIV-2, and HCV by conjugating Protein A to HRP or biotin. The current study finds its application in easy and rapid diagnosis of human immunodeficiency virus infection (ELISA). Further, the antigen may be useful for the purification of polyclonal and monoclonal antibodies.
