- Use equipment including weights, traction, cold packs, IFT, Laser, MWD, Pulsed Short Wave Diathermy and all electrical treatments to ease pain
- Interpretation of advanced Pulmonary Function Tests, ECG and Chest X-ray.
- Arterial blood gases performance and interpretation, bronchial hygiene therapy, chest physiotherapy, pulmonary rehabilitation, post extubation care.
- Working in various ICUS: Neonatal ICU, Paediatric ICU, Multidisciplinary ICU, Cardiac ICU, Pulmonology and Thoracic ICU.
- Selection, maintainance of emergency crash card and all respiratory therapy equipments in ICU.
- Perform bronchopulmonary drainage and assist or instruct patients in performance of breathing exercises.
- Demonstrate respiratory care procedures to trainees and other health care personnel.
- Teach, train, supervise, and utilize the assistance of students, respiratory therapy technicians, and assistants.
- Provide emergency care, including artificial respiration, external cardiac massage and assistance with cardiopulmonary resuscitation.
