Job Description:
To prepare, cook and present all food dishes to standards set down by the Head Chef. To assist in the food production, kitchen operation and food service procedures of the main kitchen, to ensure that food is prepared and cooked as per the company standards and policy, to work with the sous chef and junior sous chef in implementing quality food preparation, food presentation, portion control, stock ordering, inventory control, food rotation, menu planning, organising theme based food festivals, food costing, colleague training, ensuring cleanliness, food sanitation and hygiene in the kitchen. Using the kitchen management software to record invoices and bills as per the accounting rules. Also, supervising and working with demi chef de parties, commis chefs, breakfast chefs and kitchen porters.
