“HYDRAULIC JACK” for lifting two-wheelers.
Main Project:
Design of “PORTABLE HYDRAULIC LIFT TO MAINTAIN
B- CLEARANCE IN COACHES”. The project was carried out at the Bogie section
in “CARRIAGE AND WAGON WORKS”, PERAMBUR.

This portable hydraulic lift was designed as an alternative for “OVERHEAD CRANES” which is been currently used at the workshop to ensure workers safety. The device makes lifting process easier and quicker for adjusting clearance unlike the current method. This portable device is easy to maintain and use. Moreover by using this portable hydraulic lift, accurate clearance value can be maintained with lesser amount of man power and at a reasonable cost.
