Title : Value Engineering & Reverse Engineering
- We worked on value engineering of White Magic – Washing Machine. Here we have to reduce the cost of washing machine.
- First we approached on small parts apart from Aesthetic components of the washing machine where we can avoid that and if necessary we can provide in better way. Then we concentrated on spin tub, Drainage system & Motor assembly of spin tub. As teamwork we reduced the cost around Rs.100 per washing machine.

Title : Camera Cover Injection Mould.
As I have experience on mould design, I approached this company in Chennai to get mould design work. They given one component for pilot project and they required it in Pro-E. So I learnt pro-mould software from them and done that project at customer location and got good feedback. Therefore we got three components for mould design. Also I had given CATIAV5 training to them.

Project 9 : FAURECIA, DELPHI, PLASTIC OMNIMUM & VALEO, France.

Title : Automobile components mould design,
We followed customer standards for this injection mould design. At pune location we do mould design and 80% of manufacturing. Remaining work (Die matching) they would do in France. Here my job is to design the mould. For mould design we used CATIAV5R12 & Megacad software. First we have to order the Mould base, for this we used megacad software and decided the size of the mould. After completion of mould base we started extraction of core and cavity and sent it to CAM division. Simultaneously we do assembly of mould and release the assembly blue prints to the shop floor.
Project 10 : SERMO, France
Title : Substrate-Injection Mould,

Package : CATIA V 5R12 on Windows NT Platform.
For this mould we 6 people worked in team. I worked on lifters assembly. After extracting core and cavity, the work was split into 6. We all worked in one single assembly using “smart team” PDM. Lifters are one type of ejectors to eject the moulded component. This is used when component have doghouse and clip tower kind of features. Finally we worked on total assembly like hydraulic circuit, safety tools and mould clamping. We followed SERMO standards for this mould.
Experience 1 : Metal Form Pvt. Ltd., Singapore from June 2000 to December 2001.
Title : Tool and Die Maker,
Responsibilities: Manufacturing of compound and progressive press tools, Handling all type of conventional and CNC machines, trouble shooting of press tools, dimension control of stamped components and maintaining the ISO standards.
Achievements: 1.Suggested and manufactured one single 8 stage (Sea Gate – Hard Disk Cover) press tool for two components. This reduced manufacturing cost and production cost.
2. Suggested to replace the PUR spring to compression spring for long tool life and to increase productivity.
Experience 2 : Premier Instruments and Controls , Coimbatore from April 1999 to June 2000.
Title : Technical Assistant,
Responsibilities: Interpretation of blueprints, manufacturing of injection mould and press tools, trial taking of sheet and plastic components, quality control of products, final settlement of dies and also maintaining the ISO standards.
Achievements : 1.I did Suzuki-Samurai speedo meter case injection mould individually for first time. My job includes, ordering material, follow up in manufacturing, heat treatment process, mould assembly, trial taking and final settlement. This component got approved by first trial itself & got appreciation from General Manager for on time delivery.
2. Crystal component injection mould is simple mould, but it requires mirror polish for core and cavity. This component is used to cover and read the speedometer. Here I learnt the polishing skill. This mirror polishing took 10 days. Material used is P2O for core and cavity.
Experience 3 : Nettur Technical Training Foundation, Katpadi from August 1997 to August 1998.
