Job Description:
Opening for Engineer Estimation-Offshore-AbuDhabi
1. BASIC FUNCTION

To ensure efficient and effective estimation, tendering and follow-up on every project.

2. WORK PERFORMED
He would be mainly responsible for the following activities:
- Independently managing estimation of Offshore EPIC / Fabrication/multidiscipline construction projects from enquiry stage to contract realization.
- Review the drawings /scope of work and formulate the quantum of work/ BOQ.
- Identify the resource requirements in line with construction/fabrication productivities and the project scope.
- Identify the detailed material requirement and obtain competitive prices.
- Identify the required subcontractors for relevant activities and obtain competitive prices.
- Provide the inputs and direct the planning group to prepare the preliminary project schedule/Method statement
- Carry out site survey and identify the site impediments.
- Prepare Estimation / project summary for management review.
- Compile and prepare technical and commercial proposals.
Requirement:
- Engineering Graduate from a recognized University .
- Between 10-20 years relevant experience in construction industry / EPC environment.
- Experience in computerized environment of Tendering and Estimation on Turnkey and Construction works related to Oil & Gas Industry Piping works, Flow lines, Refineries, Power Plants & Infrastructure.
- Familiar with International Standards for design, engineering, construction and operations of Multidiscipline projects e.g. API, ASTM, BS, DIN, Shell DEP’s etc.
- Conversant with Project Planning, Costing, MIS reporting and system software's such as Primavera, M.S. Project, Open Plan etc.,
- Experience in construction site, man-power and equipment deployment requirement, fabrication of piping, structure, vessels etc., NDT and quality control system & heavy lifts.
- Deriving quantities from the Drawings, co-ordination with the Vendors, sub-vendor, sub-contractors, Client, consultant
- Compilation of Technical & Commercial Bids
