Job Description:
_maintaining and developing relationships with existing customers via meetings, telephone calls, emails and field activity.
_visiting potential customers to prospect for new business;
_acting as a contact between a company and its existing and potential markets;
_negotiating the terms of an agreement and closing sales;
_gathering market and customer information;
_representing the organisation at trade exhibitions, events and demonstrations;
_negotiating variations in price, delivery and specifications with managers;
_liaising with suppliers to check on the progress of existing orders;
_checking quantities of goods on display and in stock;
_recording sales and order information and sending copies to the sales office;
_reviewing own sales performance, aiming to meet or exceed targets;
_gaining a clear understanding of customers' businesses and requirements;
_making accurate, rapid cost calculations, and providing customers with quotations;
_feeding future buying trends back to employers.

Desired Candidate Profile:
Must show excellent sales track record
Ability to persuade and influence others. Ability to develop and deliver presentations
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
This is normally acquired through a combination of the completion of a Bachelor's Degree and three to five years of sales experience, preferably in the food and packaging industry or in hotel and catering supplies
Visibility requires maintaining a professional appearance and providing a positive company image to the public.
Work requires significant local travel to current and potential clients
