In a graphic design job, you may be responsible for the following kinds of tasks:

Desired Candidate Profile:
software company seeks an experienced Graphic Designer for their in-house design studio to assist in the creation of print, web and digital corporate communication material. We’re looking for a Designer who has a passion for graphic design and has outstanding skills in Adobe cs2/cs3, Quark etc . Preference will be given to candidates who are fluent in HTML, CSS and After Effects. You should be adaptable to deliver accurate artwork whether it is for a 4-page brochure or designing bespoke web graphics. The role will be ideal for someone who has experience of a corporate environment but will also have the freedom to deliver new designs within guidelines.
- Strong design portfolio with a 4-year design degree (or equivalent IT or internet related degree),
- 2+ years commercial design and interactive work experience.
- Highly competent using major design applications, including Photoshop and Illustrator and a comprehensive understanding of interactivity and the web and web applications including Flash, After Effects, QuickTime, and Director.
- Confidence developing rich and engaging Flash apps using ActionScript 2.0+ and object-oriented programming a definite plus.
- Experience with motion graphics for the web and other media an asset.
- Solid graphics design and layout acumen. Identifies the best conduit for presenting and delivering graphic material in support of business needs/initiatives. Uses strong creativity and good judgment to tailor design methods to specific needs and objectives, including budget impact considerations.
- Exhibits a knowledge of the possible technology environments and issues that may be encountered in an internal end-user situation.
- A flexible attitude with knowledge of current web-trends, techniques and cultural differences.
- Excellent communication skills and attention to detail.
