Job Description:
Software development and customer issue resolution on enterprise class disk based backup appliance:
- Analyze customer issues and find resolution related to code or environment
- Develop code to fix existing software defects
- Work directly with major OEM customer engineers and Quantum development engineering to develop tactical solutions for customer issues
- Work on new releases of our enterprise and workgroup disk based products
- Periodic after hours on-call for customer issues

Desired Candidate Profile:
- BE / BTech / MTech Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field of study
7+ years software development in C or C++
- Experience with Linux OS/kernels
- Experience with debugging tools such as GDB
- Knowledge of RAID, VTL, NAS, backup applications, Fibre Channel, SCSI and other storage technologies desirable
- Experience in Perl, shell, and other scripting tools
- Knowledge of HTTP and GUIs
- Knowledge of source control and shared build environments
- Strong spoken and written English
