This is a data warehousing application made for the analysis and reporting purpose of the sales and marketing company. The dimensional modeling used in this project is star schema. Using this project we can generate various types of reports like best Employee Report, Best Customer Report, Best Product sold report, Best Promotion report, etc.
Project involved extracting of data from disparate data sources and transforming data from these files before loading into the warehouse. The transformations included filters and aggregations for the star schema target tables. The data sources were Oracle database tables and the target tables were in Oracle database. The project involved creating a metadata repository for the data warehouse, analyzing the source data, and then deciding on the appropriate extraction, transformation and loading strategy. Subsequently, mapping for the data flow from the data source to the target tables was created along with the required transformations. Sessions were created to run the data loading. The frequency of the data load was based on data warehouse requirements.

- Understand the source systems and involved target design reviews.
- The project involved extracting data from various sources, transforming the data from these sources before loading the data into target (warehouse) Oracle tables.
