Job Description:
Requirements
* 3-5 years of experience in the Indian fashion industry as either fashion designer or production or design assistant.
* Must be able to understand and manage entire process of creating design from sketch and swatch to garment stage for collection.
* A candidate must have a Degree or Diploma ( preferably 4years) from an accredited domestic or foreign university in fashion design.
* A candidate must have strong creative ability to develop multiple designs and swatch combinations in short time periods.
* Ability to perceive market trends and adapt them as necessary.
* Extremely strong technical skills for draping, pattern making , construction and fitting.
* Strong sense of responsibility and timeliness : must be able to meet deadlines, and ensure delivery to customers and clients no matter what.
* Pleasing personality : ability to work in a team and under pressure.

Technical Skills Required
• The designer must be able to develop, explain and correct new patterns for new new designs with masters and pattern makers.
• Must have the ability to grade patterns into different sizes, and convert new pattern from dummy proportions to clients proportions.
• Should be able to explain to pattern makers where to change design elements for accommodating size differences.
• Must also be able to design garments through draping fabrics only
• Must be able to conduct fitting sessions with clients and make corrections.
• Must be able to supervise the garment corrections to be made by masters.
• Must have knowledge of common fabric properties such as strength, wearability , durability, and best construction techniques to be used.
• Good knowledge of construction techniques i.e seam finishes , zipper finishes , closures and hems.
• Ability to draw clear flat specs absolutely necessary.
• Good general understanding of aspects such as dyeing , printing and embroidery.
• Must be able to work with Karigars , understand and explain technical details such as embroidery stitch use , beads to use thread etc

Our Designer(s) will be responsible for developing our collections entirely from the sketch to the finished garments.
He/She must be open minded, extremely creative individual who has the ability to visualize & create beautiful garments. As a creative individual he or she should be constantly looking for inspirations, and developing new ideas, techniques and styles.
He/She must also be very detailed oriented i.e.: extremely particular about the integrity of his/her design and ensure perfect execution of every detail.
At the same time our designer should open to the needs of our couture clients and market trends. He/she must be open to input to our customers and marketing staff, and Endeavour to include those suggestions whenever possible.
