Job Description:
- Responsible for the total development of the children, including observation and development of each individual child’s social & physiological aspects.
- Responsible to ensure a secure and loving environment for the children.
- Management of the class room including observing each child and making note of his / her progress.
- Preparation of curriculum material for the children as needed.
- Documentation of the child’s weekly progress reports and share with parents on a monthly basis.
- Conduct Parent Meetings/Conference and discuss observations based on student evaluations.
- Preparation of lesson plans and material for the theme of the term . The term’s theme sets the topic for the conversations, arts and crafts, fun activities, worksheets and end of the term events
- Working with children in the age group of 18 months to 12 years.
- Responsible for teaching and caring for children, high degree of flexibility and adaptability.
- Plan and organize projects in detail for my class, outlining objectives and activities per term.
- Maintaining and preparing classroom and outdoor equipment - planned outdoor activities.
- Day to day running of the nursery - stock control, book management and equipment management.
- Responsibility of writing a weekly report for each child mentioning the activities the child has worked with, also writing term end reports, which are written clearly and well presented.
- Communicating with parents about their child’s progress and welfare on a termly basis and in parent - teacher conferences.
