I taught English in Maldives from January 2002 to November 2008 for grade 8, 9 & 10. I trained the students for the GCE O’ Level Examinations and IGCSE Examinations (English as a Second Language).
I followed various techniques to enhance the ability to appear examinations. I gave extra attention to listening, reading and writing classes. I conducted various competitions to develop their spoken English too. The students were given class tests, mock tests and terminal examinations to come out with flying colours.
I also attended in the In-Service Teacher Training workshop on the structure and assessment of IGCSE English as a Second Language (0510) during my teaching period in Maldives.
I held the post of the Head of Department of English and have taken a lot of interest in conducting extra activities in the English Department.
I produced very good result in Grade 10 (IGCSE, English as a Second Language) in the year 2007 have been awarded the certificate of appreciation in recognition my hard work and dedication in producing the progress in the result of English at Cambridge O’ Level Examinations.
